Steamships Appoints Alan Heyns as New CEO of Pacific Palms Property

Steamships has announced the appointment of Alan Heyns as Chief Executive Officer of its Property Division, Pacific Palms Property (PPP), stepping into a pivotal role as the company embarks on a new phase of strategic growth and innovation.

Alan brings more than 20 years of diverse experience across property development, construction, and the oil & gas sectors. His expertise spans the entire property development lifecycle—from initial concept and design through to project delivery. He has a strong track record of successfully leading complex projects and improving operational performance.

During his tenure as Property Development General Manager at PPP, Alan led several major projects, including the Harbourside South extension of the Harbourside Precinct, home to the Marriott Executive Apartments, and other key developments such as Portside Business Park and Dobel Central in Mt Hagen. His leadership in strategic project planning, construction management, and commercial contract negotiations has significantly strengthened PPP’s reputation as a leader in Papua New Guinea’s property sector.

Alan’s extensive career includes senior roles across Papua New Guinea, South Africa, and Angola, with notable companies such as Hornibrook NGI Ltd, SGB-Cape, and Southey Offshore. He has honed his skills in quantity surveying, cost management, and managing large-scale projects.
