Tisa Community Finance Limited (TCF) has appointed Anthony Smaré to its Board of Directors
Mr. Smaré brings extensive leadership experience in banking, superannuation, investments, insurance, mining, energy, retail, manufacturing, logistics, construction, security, and property.
He currently serves as President of the PNG Chamber of Resources & Energy
,is a qualified geologist, and has substantial experience as a natural resources lawyer and business executive.
Mr. Smaré was the former long-serving Chairman of Nambawan Super and currently chairs several other boards in the PNG business sector, including Paradise Foods, Laga Industries, and entrepreneurship.
He holds degrees in Law and Applied Science from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and has completed leadership programs at Harvard, Oxford, Princeton, Cambridge, Stanford, and Hong Kong UST.
Mr. Smaré was recognized by QUT as its most outstanding Young Alumnus of 2010 and was appointed to the World Economic Forum’s Forum of Young Global Leaders in 2014.
With his strong connection to TCF’s mission, given his mother’s long-standing membership and teaching career in PNG, Mr. Smaré’s addition to the TCF Board is expected to bring valuable insights and strategic direction.
TCF, a licensed financial institution owned by Teachers Savings and Loan Society Ltd, focuses on serving retail, commercial, and SME sectors.
